BIG house update

I haven't posted house pics for so long, and soooo much has happened! I don't even know where to start or what to post, but let me say that as of today this is done:

* interior and exterior framework was completed

* wall bracing completed

* blue rhino material added to exterior

* cyclone rods, roof beams, roof and ceiling battens completed

* ceiling insulation added

* roof put on (before it rained - Yippee!)

hardiplank cladding added

* louvre windows completed

* french doors and highlights completed

*timber floors finished

* garage doors put in

The builders will be back to install the window insect screens and that is pretty much it for them.

It will then be up to The Hubbster and I to build to completion. We were chatting to our builder last week, and it was kind of sad in a way that they are near the completion of the job - that is, what we have paid them to do - build to lock up. We all said it has been a rewarding, interesting experience, all of the contractors have enjoyed working out here in the peace and serenity....and our builder even did some baby guinea fowl wrangling....I don't suppose he will ever forget that.

We will have to get it together now and start the "finish"...I don't know how long it will take, but Rome wasn't built in a day. Just thought you'd enjoy a cliche to finish off this post... And I have ALOT of pics.....
