Now that I have your attention, here's the baby.
We thought we had our hands full with our guinea babies, not knowing that our little hen was sitting on her own clutch of eggs. We found a little chick a few days ago but it had been pecked by the roosters so we had to put her to sleep. It was awful.
We have now closed off the section that the hen is in, and she has several more eggs snuggled behind the hay, just waiting to crack open. I have to check tommorrow that this area is baby proof as we haven't had chicks before...this is a first for us. I hope they do okay. I hope they stay warm with their mother.

Awww. Cute.
So sad he had to be put to sleep. Good luck with the rest!
Roosters do that? How horrible!
I wish I could have baby chicks, but alas I am city folk.
