Reality Blogging

It's that time of the week when I particpate in Reality Blogging, courtesy of Bad Mummy. The glitz and glamour behind the face of blogging...

This week I'd like to bring you a photo of a pile of crap in our bedroom. You may remember me writing (whinging) about how the 5 of us are sleeping in the same room while we build The Money Pit?

Well yesterday I got sick of stepping over everything strewn all through the room so I thought it a good idea to sweep it all into one big pile of crap instead of little bits and pieces everywhere just randomly waiting to take my eye out or break my ankle....you can only step on so many pieces of lego before you crack!

Here is the pile of crap and here are several scenarios that could now occur. Which one do you think will happen?????

1. The kids will come home from school and joyfully sort out the pile, putting their clothes, books and toys away in their correct places, and sing a happy little song whilst having a smile on their face because they are making Farmers Wifey very happy.

2. The kids will come home from school and when asked politely by Farmers Wifey to "please children, pack away your things" they will each reply with "it's not my stuff".

3. Farmers Wifey will go to the kitchen and get a big black garbage bag and shovel the crap into the bag and take it down the driveway to the bin..because she is totally sick of tripping over lego (and whoever invented fucking lego can pay for her chiropractic bills).

4. Farmers Wifey will pack away the pile of crap because she's an awesome patient mother (slave) who does everything anyway.

5. Farmers Wifey will refuse to pack away the pile of crap and the kids can continue to add to it, then when it gets out of hand, we can transfer it out the back and make a bonfire and toast marshmallows.

Hang on, scrap that last one because I think my shoes are in there.

Well, nobody's perfect.

You had me chuckling at the notion of the cheerful children packing it all away...oh I wish!

So with you on the Lego. If I step on another bloody piece of that stuff..!

Hm. I think that any are possible, but I'd probably say #4? Not that I think you are a slave. What do I win if I win??

It's so hard being perfect. No one can possibly measure up to us. It's a tough life for them. :D

At my house we would start with # 2 for sure.
I think you should choose # 3 and then blog about their reaction.

Funny! I think the only thing that may actually happen is you pulling your shoes out of the pile and burning the rest in a bond fire in the backyard!
Nice tidy pile though!

Hmmm, I thought I had commented on this when it popped up in my reader!

Soooo, what happened to the pile?

I didn't do a, b, c or d....instead I bribed the cretins with a packet of cheeseballs...."pack one thing away and you get one cheeseball" ecetera.....the pile soon disapeared. Great parenting that.

Love your comment here, Farmers Wifey! I like how you resolved it!

Ha ha! We all have one of those piles somewhere! In fact, I think I have several! The cheeseball solution is hilarious! Love it!

LMAO! you forgot one more option. All children will say "SHE/HE GOT IT OUT!!!" and not own up to any of it!
