This is my Reality.

This note is pinned to my office wall.  It was given to me by a workmate, and I felt I had to keep it for some reason.

I look at it and remind myself that yes, it is a beautiful day.

Whatever your stress, or your pain, you are alive and the sun is shining.

We have friends and family who love us, we have a home and a future.

I've been sitting outside in the sun, the kids are at school and The Hubbster is working.  The blue sky is bright, so I wear my sunglasses to stop the glare.

It is so peaceful, I don't need music, I am enjoying the solitude.  Just time to think, and to appreciate my life, whatever it may be.

This is my reality.  Everyone has one.

Everyone has different levels to which they can cope with stress. I'm doing my best to deal with whatever eventuates with my son, and we will move forward and be strong.

There is always someone worse off than you, someone who would like to have your life.

Appreciate what you have, love your family, love your reality.

Incredibly calm, centred and rational words. It is difficult at times to appreciate them, but we so should, because you are absolutely right. Great post... and I'm glad you're in a good space right now xo

As I am often wont to say: "Any day on the right side of the grass is a Good Day."

I share your philosophy that there are millions in the world so much worse off than we are and they would gladly swap places with us even if in our lives there is pain and sadness. Today is like a spring day in the midst of our winter...the skies are blue and it is quite warm too. What more can one want except perhaps some much needed rain? We took our daughter to lunch for her birthday. She and I both have many aches and pains but can still find the time to enjoy each other's company and to laugh. Just keep smiling and seeing the beauty around you. We will survive.
