It's a beautiful day, don't let it get away..

We had a great day today!  An early morning start at my son's last AFL game of the season, where we sat in the sun and watched the under 11's play the full adult field for the first time.

They looked like little ants out there!

The rest of the day was spent at a favourite yearly event, a local school fair.  This is a big, big deal!  These parents put so much into this wonderful day, it is a credit to this small, country school.

Everything from markets, cent sales, baby animals, entertainment, food and drinks,  and a huge area of rides and attractions to keep the kids busy all day long!

I usually buy my kids a wrist band, which allows them unlimited rides, and gives me time to sit in the shade and people watch, which I love to do.

I love days like this when the kids can kick off their shoes, and run in the fresh country air.  Some sunscreen and a hat and everyone's happy!

Today gave us a glimpse of Spring, which is right around the corner.  I won't miss these cold nights in the shed..bring on September!

Did you have a good weekend?  What did you do??

Oh how beautiful does the weather look in your part of the world!? Gorgeous and definitely Spring like.
Love the photos, especially the sweet little piggy, too cute. Sounds like a great day, we're always big fans of the market/fete/fair days too. So much community goodness.
Weather here has been abysmal this weekend, but it made for plenty of snuggling and keeping warm indoors xo

I'm a bit envious! You guys are heading off into spring. In my neck of the woods, fall is quickly approaching. Not that I mind fall...I'm just not a fan of the season that follows! =) Looks like you had a gorgeous day!

It was my son's last game of the season as well but only because he'll be away on a camp next weekend when the rest of the team play their last game. I'll be glad to get Saturday mornings being lazy again until cricket starts.

Sounds like the perfect day! Here in the west, we too had one day of glorious weather - it had that delicious taste and feel of Spring. But then the Sunday storm crashed in and reminded us that it was indeed still winter.
Memories would have been made of your day, so nice to spend with family.

Yep, I had fun taking my cousin who's down for the weekend to the city. Felt like a tourist myself! :)

We had that kind of weather here too, but it only lasted until about 9am.
I think a wrist band access to multiple rides is a fantastic idea!
I love small town school fetes and the annual shows, it looks like this one is a combination of the two?
Love the piggy.

You had me at piglets!! What a lovely day out for your family. We had a crazy busy weekend with a baby shower Saturday, and footy gala day Sunday. Thank goodness for rostered days off today so that I could chill out.

Love your beautiful day. I had a long walk in windy conditions to Bondi but I loved it. The atmosphere was amazing at the City to Surf.
