Kids Running Free!

If you ask any 9 or 10 year old boy where they'd love to be on a sunny Saturday afternoon, there's no doubt they'd say running through the Aussie bush playing Laser Skirmish.

And they take it seriously thank you very much!

Mr C was invited to a birthday party last week, and had the most awesome time.  I loved listening to the kids planning and discussing tactics, and I loved even more the fact they had the chance to run free in the great outdoors!

That looks like so much fun! Actually, not just boys, I KNOW my girls would love to get in on that too!

Paintball hurts? Damn! I've been invited to a paintball skirmish, I think perhaps I'll just stay on the sidelines with my camera.

Lovely to see kids running around freely in open spaces, it's not always possible in the city. Even in parks you need to be alert for bullies and predators.

We were on the edge of the Botanical Gardens here, and it was great because parents could wander around with the kids and watch them play!

Oh yes, having two boys I totally get what you mean. Nothing better than getting out in the fresh air for a good run around. Looks like the kids had a great time xo

Our #1 GGD is celebrating her 16th birthday with a Laser party next weekend. She tells me it is great fun but I feel being in the city it will be an indoor experience and not quite as exciting as being out in the great Aussie bush.

I remember the first time our son got home from running through forrest and fields with his friends... omg... Before that he always was afraid of getting "dirty" and then... one of those moments when kids grow up ;-)
