How to have a Cyclone

So we nearly had a cyclone.  Ex tropical cyclone Oswald paid us a visit.  It wasn't pretty.

Here is our brand new trampoline, that was blown down the paddock by the cyclonic winds, and cleaned by the torrential rain.

My son said he was glad he wasn't jumping on it when it took off.  As am I.

We were flooded in for four days, and besides the lack of milk and bread, no power, mobile phone or landline, and the faint whiff of cabin fever setting in, we did okay.

We still have many small towns cut off by floodwaters, and my heart breaks for them.  So many places flooded, lots of animals lost, rural communities beginning another clean up and regroup.

It will be done.  They breed 'em tough out here in the country.

Get up, dust themselves off and start again.

There's no other choice.

Is a cyclone a hurricane? I guess I could just google that and find out for myself.

I'm glad y'all made it through safe and sound and no damage to the beautiful new home!

Very gald you are all safe.
I learnt after the last few years of rain and floods to always have bread mix and long life milk in the house so at least we can last a few days without being able to get to town.

OMG! The trampoline!! Those are some beastly strong winds. And all that water, Wow, we live in a wild country when it comes to weather. Glad you and the fam are all ok and your lovely house stood up to the cyclonic force.

So glad you are all safe despite the inconveniences. The tragedies in Queensland have been horrific as well as those dreadful fires in NSW, Victoria and Tassie. We in the West feel so sincerely sorry for everyone in our eastern states.
My g/granddaughter's trampoline was wrecked last year in a mini tornado that swept through Baldivis. No flooding though thank goodness.

I`ve been watching closely at the reports from your country. I can`t believe how serious Oswald hit you. We have hurricanes here so can get a sense of your plight.
I know you are tough as we are....pull up your boot straps and forward HO!!!
