Deposit is Paid!

(We wish to advise that we have now reached "Deposit" stage of construction on the above mentioned project and as per the terms of our building agreement the first payment is now due and payable).

Yes, we are now at the business end (or start) of building our dream home. And with the statement above, it's all so.... definate. And exciting and scary and stressful but wonderful too.

So with that, we withdrew $10 000 and I tucked it into my handbag and we walked down the road to the other bank to deposit it. All the while, watching for any suspicious behaviour that might mean - robbery.....or attack......Lucky for me The Hubbster had his Clint Eastwood shoes on.

Of course with the next payment due, I will be paying with a bank cheque as the figure is high and I'm not carrying that amount of money anywhere. So we have the building contract signed, the deposit is paid and the start date is Monday 17th August 2009. In essence, this is why I started this blog in the first place. I am super excited....
