OMG...this is just unbelieveable! These kind of disasters are just so riveting like the sumani of 2004. I hope you are safe and so are your family and friends. We are thinking of your country in this time of upheaval. Take care!

Those photos are just chilling to look at. Just tragic.
I'm guessing it's probably very difficult for people from that area to look at photos like this even today. It's kind of how I feel when I see pictures or footage of 9/11 here in the states. I'm incredibly lucky that I didn't lose anyone and was not personally in danger, but I live in New Jersey, just over the river and it still really bothers me to look at stuff from that day.

Heartbreaking & poignant.
These have been the darkest hours of some peoples' (too many to count) entire life and the nightmare goes on even in the light of day.
I hope it ends soon so people can rebuild lives.

I can't stop thinking about it either. The only silver lining is the awesome displays of human kindness that have been shown during this time.

I hope you are keeping safe.

Oh my. I hadn't seen these photos before. They capture the shock, the devastation and the small acts of heroism beautifully.
