We have recently discovered some hidden treasures on our farm.
Yesterday, the kids and I decided to go for a bushwalk and explore.
We walked down the hill and along the track and came to our bottom dam. We have a flying fox across the dam, that I (might) let the kids swing across when they are about..say 50 years old!
The girls and I walked and Mr C (aged 8) rode the quad bike. It was a beautiful, warm winters day...
We walked along the little creek near the dam, and found a waterfall and a peaceful swimming hole.
I can't believe we have this oasis right in our backyard!
The kids loved exploring and having a picnic snack above the water of the dam.

How damn (hee hee) lucky are your kids?
Childhood bliss, me thinks.
:-)
It really does look like an oasis - sigh!
Wow! What a great spot to raise kids. Their memories of growing up are going to be filled with great outdoorsy fun! I love that.
Huge fan of your blog.

Living near the city means we don't have places like this to go to :( So nice!
It's wonderful finding these special little spots you never knew were there! I love exploring our farm its mostly bush so there are always hidden surprises.
Gorgeous spot! so lovely to discover it and love that you were out walking :) Who was the awesome person who put a flying fox over the top of that! talk about fun when they get older...of course they have to be wearing floaties though. N x
What a gorgeous back yard, your kids are definately having a great life!!!
Gorgeous and very peaceful! Mine would be on that flying fox in an instant... without permission!
Just found your blog, your farm walk looks like our place! similar trees, grass and complete with flying fox over dam!! We live on a 147acre property on the North Coast NSW.
I'm so jealous! What a gorgeous place to bring up kids ...
