Friday Night Movies with alot of Kids

Mr C and I rocking our 3D glasses!

Last night I took Mr C (aged 9) and half a dozen of his mates to the movies to see Star Wars Episode One: The Phantom Menace.

The boys sat together and ate their popcorn and gave a running commentary on the movie, as they were all very familiar with the story.

As was I, thanks to Mr C, who is Star Wars obsessed.

I knew exactly what a podracer was, and why Darth Maul was so cranky.

I kind of like him. He has that bad boy thing going on.

I must admit though, I like these guys. They are battle droids.

They say "Roger Roger" alot and walk like they are constipated, but I think they would be a fun toy.

Do your kids like Star Wars.  Do you??

Yes, have to say I'm a bit of a Stars Wars fan myself... the boys are a bit young at the moment, but I'm sure they'll be right into it. Actually one of our friends recently had a Stars Wars themed party for their little boy. The birthday boy's Dad turned up dressed as Darth Maul (full suit, mask and all) and fought with the kids etc... it was awesome, little bit scary for some of them I think, but lots of fun.
Sounds like you had a top night out at the movies :o) xo

I've avoided it this long, I'm hoping to continue my blissfully non Star Anything existence!!

I've only "listened" while the kids watch every single Star Wars movie over and over again..now that I've actually sat and "watched" one...I'm kinda hooked!

My kids cut their teeth on Star Wars. I'll have to find out if they are going gaga over the 3-D version!

I remember loving the movies when they first came out years ago. I was in high school. I don't think I've seen them since then, though. We may just have to rent the movies one of these days...

And you are as brave as Mr. Skywalker, himself, to take that many kiddos to a movie alone! The Force must have been with you! :)

@ Dreaming..the 3D was fantastic! All those battle ships flying around my head!

@ Judy....The Force was with me..oh and one other mum brave enough to come along... and we went to Mcdonalds first so it was a fun night!

Still to this day I have never seen more than about 5 mins of a Start Wars movie.... Much to the disgust of my husband that lives for shows like that!!! Hahaha

Oh girls, grab a kid and go! The 3D is great. I love scfi films, but it's great that I had heaps of kids to take as excuses!!

My husband and I took our youngest to this movie too. I never was a Star Wars fan, but I have to admit, I walked away impressed. The more I thought about the movie over the next few days, the cooler it became. Odd, I know, but maybe it just takes me a few days to process things. :)
