Little Guinea Babies

We have 8 brand new freshly hatched guinea fowl babies!

We also have one other baby from another nest of eggs, just a little bit bigger than these new ones.

How could we not love their little stripy heads ♥

They are very cute! When I saw the heading of your post my heart sank a little because I thought you meant Guinea Pigs! Hens are much nicer.

Yes, I have to refer to the as guinea fowl, not just guineas, because lots of people think I'm talking about guinea pigs lol

I know right! They just keep on nesting, right out of season actually....I hope we don't loose any of these to snakes like we did with the last batch!!

We haven't ventured into guinea fowl yet, I heard they can be a bit wild??
Ducks are are next expansion, then pigs.

Have always loved guinea fowls. Are they the ones that take off vertically? We townies always feel so envious of people in the country who have such interesting things around them.
Beautiful photos...thanks for sharing.
