House Update

Have you moved into your house yet?

This is the question I get asked everyday.

No, we haven't moved in yet.  We are nearly there..not alot to do now.

As of today, we have fourteen weeks to finish The Money Pit.  That takes us into July, and that is our deadline.

After three and a half years in The Shed, what's another fourteen weeks?

My patience is at its lowest, probably because we are so close.

Just a few more steps......take it easy.

Things have been happening, though.

The Hubbster has been busy building stairs, in the garage, at the back of the house leading to the pool, and at the side of the house.

The verandah handrails have been built, and the next step is the stainless steel wire to finish them off.

Last week I ordered the taps and bathroom fittings, and the toilets.  The shower screens are being looked at this week.

There is a light at the end of this tunnel..my neverending bad camping trip may be at last coming to an end........

Bless you patient lady!! I know a family who have had 4 Canberra Winters in a shed, with 4 boys, she is one understanding wife as her husband builds the house (he works 70 hours a week), they live out of town & they only use cash, so many ways they could have done it faster but this way, they are not left with a scary mortgage, they can move in (this Winter) & truly enjoy it, not to mention, APPRECIATE it. Love Posie

14 weeks? That's SO close!
I like the steps, I bet they make it much easier getting up onto the porch now. Before this I've been imagining you climbing up and jumping down....

Woohoo! It's all coming together well. And can I just add this? I'm sure your's will be ready - as in FULLY ready, even when mine still isn't - and we've lived in ours for 4 years now, yet, there are still stuff that haven't been completed yet, making it worse is when Mr. C adds on a new project - THE CUBBY HOUSE! ;)

The cubby house sounds divine..but I won't mention it to hubby lol

14 weeks! This house is worse than pregnancy. I'll NEVER last! I'm itching to see it all once it's done. I don't know how you can contain yourself.
