Oh I LOVE that teddy, love all things vintage! I'm not a very successful op shopper tho, I shall have to refine that skill.

I am going op shop shopping today. I hope the peeps on holiday have left me a few things.
I had to walk back to unit after I went Dragon boating (on holidays) and I passed a Vinnies (closed) but I think I'll head that way this morning.
Awesome finds.

I keep forgetting that op shops exist! I think I should pledge to buy all gifts from op shops this year!

Love op shopping! Amazing what you find too when you go on holiday to somewhere else! What are you planning to do with these finds?

I reckon this is a great time of year to go op shopping and find some great treasures, heaps of folk have had a clean out over Christmas which is great for op shop fiends like you and me!!!

Have to agree with Janet - this is the time of the year when people have clear outs - lots of hidden treasures waiting to be discovered. Those books certainly look like hidden treasure - sounds like they found the right home.
Unfortunately for me - luckily for others - these days it's me who keeps the op-shops stocked up!

Are they books or posters? I haven't been op shopping in ages, which is probably a good thing as I don't have space for more stuff.

It's only as I've grown older and had kids that I've started to appreciate vintage. It kills me to think about what my parents threw away when they left their 3rd gen farm some 18 years ago.

I've not been into an op shop for many years but am constantly sending Phil of with boxes of this, that and the other. Love that teddy bear.
Speaking of vintage. I have a knitting/crochet book that belonged to mum and I would think it is about 80 years old. There are doll's clothes and dolls and teddy bears to knit. Boiled egg covers and teapot cosies. You name it, there's a pattern for it. I just can't throw it out but doubt anyone in the family will want it.

Op shops are great for a look, especially when there is garage sale fodder there from older people. I love looking through the box lots my Dad gets from clearing sales too.
