When I log onto my blog, the first thing I look at is my followers panel. Yes, I'm pedantic about this. Last night when I checked, I had 76 followers. This morning, I had 75. Do you know what this means:-
I have been unfollowed. This has never happened to me before and I really don't know what to think. Have I written something offensive? Am I just plain boring? Don't I cover a variety of topics? Why has this person purposely clicked on my name and hit delete?
Kate wrote that being un-followed is the cyber equivalent to being smelly. This is how I feel. I feel smelly. Like I haven't washed my feet after walking in the mud on the farm.
And the most irritating thing is, I can't figure out who it was who has deserted me. I have been through my list of stayers (and I thank you from the bottom of my bloggy heart) and I just don't know who it is. Which makes me think that maybe they weren't that important after all.
Not like all my dear readers, who I just know will comment and tell me how awesome I am, because they love me to bits. Because I'm actually not really that boring, although sometimes I can be annoying - just ask my husband.

I'm the one who unfollowed you.
I unfollowed everyone. I made a mistake and was ashamed and decided to quit blogging. I didn't want anyone to have my taint on their blog, so I removed myself from everyone. It was not anything at all about you. You have a wonderful blog.

Oh Gregory, I am so sorry you feel this way. I loved your blog too and I hope you are okay and whatever it is that happened I hope you make peace with it, my friend xxx
Hi there,
I was just going to say that I lost 4 followers over the last month. I KNOW I'm not as witty/clever/inspirational as most...and I get lazy about blogging...but FOUR followers??? lol! Anyway, then a friend told me that if we only knew the number of bloggers who decide to delete their blog. I'm sure some of mine consciously unfollowed...why I don't know. I would never do that. Stop reading their blog maybe but I wouldn't go to that trouble.
Also, the times I have tried to blog to GET followers...those are the times my blog REALLY stunk...so this is for me:-) Your blog is great...don't worry!
Anyway, I hope your friend is okay!

Hey GregoryJ - hope all is well and that you will be back blogging soon so I can read you blog. And Farmer's Wife, I will be sticking around to read your blog too. Thanks for following me xxx
To Gregory J, everyone makes mistakes & sometimes we just think we have and get discouraged. I hope you will try again.
I know the feeling of people disappearing, I had 2 a couple weeks ago and was puzzled about who it was. But some more showed up so I try not to let it bother me.
Read this, Love. :)

You know how I HATE being unfollowed! Forget the losers. You'll replace them soon enough.
OK wait, I just read the first comment. Sorry about the losers comment.
*sniff* *Sniff* Nahh you don't smell. And I'm still hangin' around....I mean I have a room that is being finished at your house....right? =)
Erin, I've just made the plaque for the door...
Oh I have been "smelly" many times, it realy is crushing!
GregoryJ If you come on back and read these comments I do hope all is well. I have found the people of the blogosphere to be the kindest bunch....don't cut yourself off entirely:)
This is so funny! I'm not on FB, so I don't know about this personally, but I hear people talking about it, and it seems to be such a source of virtual pain.
Hilarious! I'm going to pass this on to my niece. After she gets unfollowed, she tries to figure out who.
It's hysterical. An adult acting like that just is so funny...like a comedy. She was really upset!! And she's got kids!!
