As you may know, I have a room adjoining our main bedroom that is going to be my child free craft room. The place that is my own.
Where I can scrapbook, or read, or stare out of the window at the cows we will have in the fields.
And what took my eye was that instead of naming the room "The Craft Room", The Hubbster has called it "The Boudoir".
The definition is A "boudoir" is a lady's private bedroom, sitting room or dressing room. The term derives from the French verb bouder meaning, to be sulky.
Sulky? Who me. Who'd have thought.
I had plans to decorate with shelves full of my scrapbooking bits and pieces, and my most treasured framed photographs, and trinkets that are just so special to me.
Here is my room as it stands at the moment.
The french doors open out to my private verandah overlooking the cows we will have in the field.
But now I just might decorate like this.
It seems one prances around in their underwear in their Boudoir, which may look out of place with my akubra and my farm boots.
