Tuesday Housekeeping

First up, I've recently guest posted on Lucy's blog...she is so sweet to allow me to feature. Grab a cuppa and check it out...

Also, I would really love you lots, and appreciate it if you could click the Babble Link on my sidebar, and vote for Farmers Wifey...I would love to be included in the top 50 Bloggers List..

Just scroll down until you find my name and vote....I'm on the second page...at the moment!! I only have to catch up a few hundred or so votes....sigh.

My Getting My Shit Together or November To Do List is going along well....although I still have alot to cross off and only a week to do it in. I think I need my own PA..

Please God send me a Personal Assistant. Or a finished house, whichever comes first and is easier to post.

Getting My Shit Together or November Followup

My Getting My Shit Together or November To Do List is going along well. You can see I've already crossed off numerous items but I still have a way to go. I'm actually finding it easy to get things done because they are listed here and I am kind of in a race with myself to get it all finished.

I did the bookshelf and the kids clothes yesterday. Here's proof.

As you can see, the kids clothes are stored in crappy, cheap drawers that fall apart and need to be glued back together. That's a job for today.

There are five of us sleeping in the same room, sharing, 3 small wardrobes and two sets of these crappy drawers.

I can't wait, I really can't, for our house to be finished, so everyone will have a walk in cupboard, complete with strong, hardwood shelving. I can almost taste the space!

Oh here's some pics from my travel series..

The month I get my shit together - or November

As promised a couple of weeks ago, I am posting my To Do List here for the month of November. I'm hoping I can use this month to really get on top of things, just in time for Christmas!

So I'm officially renaming November the "month I get my shit together". Care to join me?

My Intervention

I've recently noticed that a couple of bloggers have posted about their blogging taking them away from the other things they have to do in their lives. I am finding this as well.

I have a crazy To Do list that...well...frankly is not getting done. Kind of defeats the purpose of having a To Do list, doesn't it??

So I'm going to do a two part intevention.

My first issue I have a grievance with is that I find I am not visiting the blogs I follow....I follow *ahem* around 160 blogs, but dammit, you guys rock and I just can't help myself so there.

So I have decided not to post for the rest of the week, and the time I use for blogging I shall instead be visiting your blogs and reading and commenting and stalking. So be prepared for Farmers Wifey to comeavisiting and remember I love an Irish Breakfast with no sugar or milk.

The second thing I am going to do is to post my To Do list on my blog for the month of November, and see exactly what I can get done.

I'll cross things off as I go, and I appreciate that there will be things I just won't get to, like stripping and staining the old antique dresser I have, or learning to play Brown Eyed Girl on my guitar so The Hubbster can actually identify it...but I am going to give it all my best shot.

I find at times I need a good kick in the motivation rear as I can be quite lazy at times, and would much prefer to be watching reruns of Supernatural than cleaning out the fridge.

You get my point.

Perhaps if I post my To Do list on my blog, I shall be shamed into admitting that I am not the best at time management.

Remember, there are some dodgy things on my list that may not make alot of sense to you, but to me, they are little things that I just can't get to.

I'm actually quite excited by this two part revelation.

It doesn't mean I won't be twittering though..which I find quite addictive.

To Do List

My "To Do" list includes the following:-

1. Write that vampire novel that I have always wanted to do (it hasn't been done before, has it??).

2. Get through the day without saying - fuck, for fuck's sake or fucking hell (or as Miss T says - suckin hell).

3. Remember to take my thyroid meds, berocca, vitamin C tablets, chaste tree pills, iron tablets, elevit with folate (just in case!) and a couple of panadol for that headache that I will get around 4.30pm (from my lack of wine time as I've given up).

4. Go on a roadtrip on the original Route 66, in a corvette or a chevy impala (black of course like the car from Supernatural - season commencing 4 May, don't phone me, I won't answer).

5. Remove all toys from the bedroom to prevent room being trashed again by devil children, and actually do this because they think I am just full of hot air.

6. Bake something a little more exciting than choc chip banana muffins, and try not to cook pasta four nights a week.

7. Try not to log on to facebook more than 6 times a day to check status updates, oh and actually google my name to see who I am.

8. Remember that the Hubbster is a man, and for that reason alone, be sympathetic when he is complaining of a cold as the world is obviously just about to end.

9. Remind myself that just because I have facebook, 2 myspace pages, a blog, msn and yahoo that I am not a net nerd.

10. Remember to kiss the grubby, dusty faces of my offspring, even when they don't listen, answer back, toss the hair in defiance (Miss D) and cause chaos and stress in the supermarket.
